Ways you can help

BARC is committed to helping pit bull type dogs awaiting homes in the local shelters of Hampton Roads, VA. We don’t just pull dogs that have run out of time at local shelters, we take on some of the more difficult and costly cases; the heartworm positive, the deformed and the injured. We rely on donations from the public to help us achieve our goals.

Donations can be made via Paypal by using the donate button on this website, or can be made by sending a check or money order to:

We Do NOT Take In Owner Surrenders, Nor Do We Pull Out Of State Dogs.

There are far too few of us, and far too many local shelter dogs that need us. Please see Animal Rescue of Tidewater’s Community Outreach Re-homing Pets page: http://artanimals.org/adoption-tips, and our own “How To Get A Pit Bull Adopted”: https://www.facebook.com/notes/bully-advocate-rescue-collective/how-to-get-a-pit-bull-adopted/370361813007037.  With these tips, you can keep your pet out of the shelter and give them a better chance at finding a new home.
